Introduction<\/highlight><\/highlight><\/strong><\/highlight><\/strong>Contextos Estrat\u00e9gicos<\/strong> is the space where this project expands the gaze beyond the literary and documentary narrative to situate the history of the San Juan River and the Transit Campaign within broader geopolitical, legal, economic and strategic frameworks.Here we analyze long-term historical processes<\/strong> that help to understand why certain events -such as the river campaign of 1856-1857- were not only relevant in their time, but continue to project consequences up to the present.This section does not replace the historical documents or the blog articles. It connects<\/strong> them.Its function is to offer contextual readings<\/strong>, structural interpretations and analyses that allow us to understand:the strategic value of the San Juan River as an inter-oceanic corridor,the political decisions that shaped regional sovereignty,the historical silences that influenced subsequent treaties, awards and litigation,and the lost -and potentially recoverable- opportunities for Central America.The texts gathered here are intended for readers interested in history, international law, international relations and geopolitics, but are written in an accessible language, always supported by contrasted facts.
